Hepatitis B Vaccine Adverse Reaction Injuries
The hepatitis B vaccine is administered to a wide range of individuals in the United States. Newborns receive the vaccine before leaving the hospital. Infants and children receive the vaccine as do firefighters, police, paramedics, nurses, and doctors. The two main hepatitis B vaccines on the market at this time are the Recombivax HB vaccine manufactured by Merck & Co, Inc and the Engerix-B vaccine manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline.
A wide range of adverse reactions have been linked to the hepatitis B vaccine. However, few conclusive links have been made as little research has been done into adverse reactions caused by the vaccine. Some of the different types of adverse reactions reported in the medical literature tentatively linked to the hepatitis B vaccine are listed here.
Many hepatitis B adverse injury claims have been filed in the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. Our Firm represents a number of petitioners bringing claims of adverse reactions to the hepatitis B vaccine.
