Medicare Fraud (Qui Tam) Cases

The Maglio Christopher & Toale Law Firm represents whistleblowers in Medicare false claims act fraud cases. These cases are also known as Qui Tam cases. Under the False Claims Act, if you are a private individual who becomes aware that a company is defrauding the federal government or the government of the State of Florida, you can bring suit against the company for the fraud on behalf of either or both of these governments. If the suit is successful, you can receive up to 30% of what is recovered. The Maglio Christopher & Toale Law Firm represents private individuals in such suits involving Medicare or Medicaid.

Examples of cases that fall under the False Claims Act include defense contractor fraud, fraudulent Medicare billing, fraudulent Medicaid billing, abuse of government grants, and the knowing sale of defective products to the government. If false information is given to the government and that false information is in some way connected to the government making expenditures, there is a potential False Claims Act case.
